My Preferences
To access the "My Preferences" Screen, click the My Preferences icon on the Main Screen as shown below.
The " My Preferences" screen has four tabs, which are:
- General
- ReadyShare
- E-mail Client
- Import/Export
The General tab
The General tab enables you to set options governing general preferences, application behavior when a new mail is created, and helper applications to be used with High Impact eMail.
General Preferences: Checking the Start High Impact eMail in Create New eMail mode checkbox, displays the "Create New eMail - Select a Template" screen when the application is started. Usually, the Main Screen appears when the application is started.
The Always insert my own URL option allows you to enter your URL while choosing an image file during Managing Profiles. Selecting this option, won't display the other options of selecting an image from your computer or your ReadyShare account.
Each template in High Impact eMail has been carefully checked to ensure that there is no code other than HTML formatting. High Impact eMail templates are therefore completely safe for you and your recipients.
However, because High Impact eMail has an open architecture, additional templates may be created that do not originate from KMT Software. In order to ensure utmost safety and to prevent any possible abuse, High Impact eMail scans each template for potentially harmful code. The security options govern whether or not the scanning is enabled. The Scan templates before creating New Mail option is selected by default and it is advisable that you do not change these settings.
High Impact eMail ensures that all the templates are scanned thoroughly before creating a new mail. The dialog shown below is displayed whenever a template is found to be corrupted.

Selecting the Upload GIF images directly to ReadyShare option enables you to bypass the Photo Editor screen in case a GIF image is selected. Selecting this option will not display the Photo Editor screen and the GIF image is directly uploaded to ReadyShare.
This feature is available in Version 3.2 and later.
New Mail: The New Mail option enables you to specify what you want the High Impact eMail browser to do when creating a new mail.
Helper Applications: The Edit Template option allows you to select the application in which you would like the templates to be opened for editing. Click the ellipsis button to select the path of the desired application, usually a full HTML editor, such as Microsoft FrontPage..
The View Source option allows you to select the application in which you would like the source of the template to open. Click the ellipsis button to select the path of the desired application, usually a simple text editor, such as Windows Notepad.
The ReadyShare tab
The ReadyShare tab enables you to make changes to your ReadyShare account login settings.

Change ReadyShare Details: Change your ReadyShare accounts email address by clicking Change E-mail address. Change the password by clicking Change Password.
Checking the Automatically Login to ReadyShare check box saves you the time and effort of entering your email address and password repeatedly.
The E-mail client tab
The E-mail client enables you to specify which mail client you want High Impact eMail to use when creating a new mail. The mail
clients compatible with High Impact eMail and which are installed on your machine, are displayed on this screen.

The Import/Export tab
You can create files to back up profile and ReadyShare information using the Import Settings and Export Settings features on the Import/Export tab. You may wish to backup profile or ReadyShare information to avoid retyping it, for instance, if you want to install High Impact eMail on another computer or if you want to reinstall the product on your system.
Note: You cannot import/export your profile information/ReadyShare login information across different operating systems. That means, when you export these information from a particular operating system, e.g. Windows 2000, you can only import these information to a system that runs on a Windows 2000 operating system.
