Configuring AOL to work with Outlook Express

Step 1: Open Outlook Express Email program. Click Tools, then click Accounts.

Step 2: Click Add.

Step 3: Click Mail from the drop down menu.

Step 4: Type in your name. Then click Next.

Step 5: Now type in your AOL email address, then click Next.

Step 6: Select IMAP where it says "My incoming mail server is a POP3/IMAP/HTTP server."

Step 7: In this same window, type in imap.aol.com under "Incoming Mail POP3,IMAP or HTTP server". Then type in smtp.aol.com under "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server". Then click Next.

Step 8: Now type in your account name. Don't type in your entire email address here. Then type in your password. Keep Remember password checked so you don't have to type it in every time you check your email. Click Next.

Step 9: Click Finish.

Configuring Hotmail or MSN with Outlook Express

Step 1: Open Outlook Express Email program. Click Tools, then click Accounts.

Step 2: Click Add.

Step 3: Click Mail from the drop down menu.

Step 4: Type in your name. Then click Next.

Step 5: Now type in your Hotmail or MSN email address, then click Next.

Step 6: Select HTTP where it says "My incoming mail server is a POP3/IMAP/HTTP server".

Step 7: For "My HTTP mail service provider is" use the drop down to find your email provider (Hotmail or MSN.)

Step 8: Now type in your account name. Then type in your password. Keep Remember password checked so you don't have to type it in every time you check your email. Click Next.

Step 9: Click Finish.
